We’re excited to announce that Noa Gur Arieh has joined Miggo as our Director of Partnerships. Noa joins Miggo from McKinsey, where she led multiple strategy engagements for leading financial institutions in Israel, the UK, and Europe, as well as multiple NGO partnerships focused on improving the economic productivity. In her role as Director or Partnerships, Noa will focus on building a robust partner ecosystem that effectively serves teams and organizations of all sizes as they look to protect their applications at runtime and in the age of AI.
We caught up with Noa to learn why she joined Miggo, what she thinks about the future of ADR, and what excites her most about Miggo.
Why Did You Decide to Join Miggo Security, and What Do You Hope to Achieve as Director of Partnerships?
I was drawn to the opportunity to step out of my comfort zone and tackle the challenge of building a go-to-market strategy for an innovative cybersecurity solution. What truly sealed the deal was the talented team at Miggo, whose innovation and mission-driven spirit align perfectly with my values. While it’s only been a month, I can already say - it’s even more exciting than expected.
My goal is to develop strategic partnerships across with a wide range of players that will become a significant and unique aspect of Miggo’s Go To Market story - fast, frictionless, and collaborative.
What’s Been Your Biggest Surprise or Learning Since Joining?
So, while a lot of the early-stage startup clichés are true – it’s a rollercoaster, your job description changes daily if not hourly, Chicken Station is a good index for the state of Israeli high tech – some things have truly surprised me.
For example, how everyone I met at Miggo is obsessed with our problem statement – applications have become a battleground as AI-powered attackers become faster and more capable. It’s really the center of everything we think and do. It’s what I hear being talked about in our office hallways.
Coming from management consulting, where the problems I solved changed constantly with every new project, I was worried I would get bored quickly. Instead, I’ve been swept up like everyone else in this problem – how do we communicate and how we solve it.
Why is Now the Right Time to Redefine AppSec with ADR?
Organizations are lacking the visibility and speed to stay ‘in the game’ with attackers in the age of AI. One of the key stats that amazed me when I joined Miggo is that in 2024, the average time to exploit was under 24 hours (down from 63 days only a few years ago!). At Miggo, we believe that speed is the greatest weapon against AI attackers and work tirelessly to enable organizations to detect and respond to attacks within minutes.
What Advice Would You Give Someone Aiming to Make The Same Career Transition You Did?
Be humble - old habits die hard! For example, My fingers still go to ctrl + v instead of command + v (and I only learned how to command + option + v today – progress, right?). I get made fun of for how I write slide leads (I need “so what’s”!). And for making slides in general, apparently. I get easily phased when ideas are not well-structured, and the process to solving a problem is not defined with a clear cadence. And much more.
What I’ve learned so far:
1. Learning new things is tough, but that’s a sign you’re actually learning
2. It’s all about balancing growth with holding on to some old habits that add value — those are the ones that make you, well, you.
What’s What Thing People Would Be Surprised to Learn About You?
In an alternative universe (or in retirement) I would be a Sommelier. I fell in love with the world of wine when I did the WSET level 2 wine training (ironically, during my maternity leave). I was surprised to learn how analytical wine tasting and paring is, and how there are thousands of factors that impact how a wine will smell, taste and feel. So if you’re looking for an amateur wine lover’s recommendation - hit me up!
